100% agree. I too have tried so hard to "avoid" anxiety or things that trigger my OCD, and at the end of the day, avoidance doesn't work. It just feeds the "monster within" as they say. I've even tried doing some traveling in the past to run away from anxiety, but alas, it follows me wherever I go.
I also liked when you said that even if you get rid of the big stressors, anxiety latches on to small stressors. Like a parasite. I've found that it tends to bouce around from one thing to the next.
But then I look back on my life and think "All this time, everything that I've ever worried about never came true. So it's unlikely that any worries will come true for the future."
But I digress yet again! Thank you for reading. I'm glad meditation works for you! It's one of the most difficult skills to master, but also borderline necessary to let go of fear, anxieties, thoughts, and everything that holds you back in life.
