I always love reading your work, and I like this one quite a bit because it talks about something that we're all afraid of: looking at ourselves in the mirror (in this case, through the question of, why?)
Actually, your article left me wondering about my own life, why am I such an anxious person? A lot of it is definitely uncertainy and fear about something bad happening in the future, like you mentioned. And avoidance behavior is quite common in that regard, again, as you mentioned.
I like that by asking myself the "whys" of life, it doesn't mean the problem is solved. It makes me feel more at peace with myself. It doesn't make me hate myself as much. I gain better mental clarity, even if I don't like the answer to said question. But it also lays the foundation for improvement in the future. :)
