I chose Big Sur because I wanted to travel to California’s most notable destinations. I like to do research beforehand, but I still go to a place regardless of what other people think of it.

When it comes to traveling, some places are going to be worth the hype, others, not so much. Big Sur was one of them for me.

Places that I have found not to be overrated: Yosemite, Big Bear Lake, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, and San Diego. Outside of CA, it would be Grand Canyon, Chicago, Miami, and Minneapolis, though I have many more places to visit post-pandemic.
