Thanks for reading my article. I previously assumed you were one of those “internet trolls” just looking to pick a fight.

To briefly expand on the idea of the sounds of nature, I don’t personally find it “cheesy” at all. In fact, I prefer to listen to the sounds of the birds chirping and the gentle breeze of the winds as I hike (as opposed to listening to music, like most people do).

Granted, there is nothing wrong with music in the wilderness, but I find this as a missed opportunity to connect with nature.

Not only that, but sometimes music feels as if I’m trying to “pass by the time” as I hike. Becoming “one” with nature feels like I’m a part of the present moment, much like meditation.
